Frank Rockel, Managing Director and Labor Director Vattenfall Europe Sales GmbH, newly elected to the HSBA Board of Trustees on 27.11.2023. Christopher Conzen is leaving the Board of Trustees after almost 20 years of service.

At the Board of Trustees meeting on November 27, Frank Rockel from Vattenfall was unanimously elected as a new member of the HSBA Board of Trustees with immediate effect. He takes the place of Christopher Conzen, who is stepping down from the advisory board of the dual business school after his sixth term of office.

"I am very pleased to welcome Frank Rockel and our long-standing partner company Vattenfall to the university's Board of Trustees," explains Prof. Dr. Tim Goydke, President of HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration "We look forward to exchanging experiences, new ideas and good cooperation."

"Christopher Conzen has contributed his outstanding expertise for almost 20 years and has been intensively involved in the further development of the university. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this and wish him all the best," said Silke Grimm, Chair of the Board of Trustees, in recognition of Christopher Conzen's many years of commitment.

Christopher Conzen studied business administration at the Wirtschaftsakademie, HSBA's predecessor institution, and has been involved in the further development of the dual model at the WAH since 2000. When HSBA was re-established in 2004, he became a member of the Board of Trustees as Managing Director of the then partner company Miles GmbH and provided intensive support and advice to the university, particularly in the early days, using his knowledge to help HSBA continue its successful development.

The HSBA Board of Trustees is the university's most important advisory body and consists of 14 representatives from Hamburg's business community. In addition, the HSBA Alumni Association and the Association of Friends and Sponsors of HSBA (VFF) each send one representative.
