Course Content & Modules
As part of the CAS Digital Transformation Officer, you will learn how to increase efficiency, coherence and performance within an organisation through well-designed business processes. These processes form the basis for the seamless integration of technology and the digital transformation of organisations. You will learn how to rationalise workflows, allocate resources optimally and increase productivity. The importance of these processes for the development of innovative digital products and services is also emphasised, enabling companies to adapt to quickly changing market requirements.
Furthermore, the course provides in-depth knowledge of algorithms that form the core of modern business applications. You will be introduced to the basic principles of algorithms and learn to define the corresponding requirements. Depending on the pace of learning and the requirements of the course, a suitable programming environment may be created in which practical programming experience can be gained.
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) Digital Transformation Officer (HSBA) consists of the masterclasses Business Process Excellence and Algorithmic Decision Making & Digital Mindset. Both masterclasses are modules from our Master's Programme MSc Innovation Management (with a focus on digitalisation). The masterclasses must be completed in the correct order:
Admission Requirements & Degree
All participants must fulfil the admission requirements for our Master's Programme MSc Innovation Management. For the 2nd Masterclass Algorithmic Decision Making & Digital Mindset, basic knowledge of programming (Python or similar) is also required.
To obtain the CAS Digital Transformation Officer (HSBA), you must attend both masterclasses and pass both exams.
If you later decide to complete the entire Innovation Management programme (with the specialisation in ‘Digitalisation’), the modules can be counted towards your degree.

As you will be attending the module together with our Master Innovation Management students, this course is guaranteed to take place from the first person.
