Data managers & Employees in Companies Working in the Field of Digitalisation
Tip: This Masterclass is part of the 'CAS Digital Transformation Officer': After completing it, take the 'Algorithmic Decision Making & Digital Mindset' Masterclass to become a certified Digital Transformation Officer.
Business processes serve as the intricate veins through which work is orchestrated within an organisation, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and optimal performance. They lay the groundwork for the seamless integration of technology and the bedrock for the digital transformation of businesses.
The business processes act as the guiding framework, streamlining operations, optimising resource allocation, and enhancing productivity. Moreover, in the digital era, where cloud and mobile technologies as well as social media are fundamentally changing the ways we work and share information, they are pivotal in shaping digital product and service offerings. They enable companies to innovate, adapt, and swiftly respond to evolving market demands.
Introducing robust business processes not only fosters operational excellence but also paves the way for the agile development and delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions, thereby propelling businesses toward sustained growth and competitive advantage in the digital landscape. They open opportunities for new business models, new forms of organisation, and new ways of employee engagement.
In this module you will be introduced to the latest methods of business process visualisation and management. You will become familiar with the concept of business process management lifecycle and learn the most widespread notations to proficiently illustrate the as-is and to-be processes so as how to measure and improve their performance. Eventually, as a key part of the course, students will learn how to optimise the company value chain.
All participants must fulfil the admission requirements for our Master's Programme MSc Innovation Management.
