HSBA – Ingeborg Gross Research Retreat 2026

A space for scientific reflection, dialogue and collaboration

The HSBA – Ingeborg Gross Research Retreat offers scholars in the fields of business studies and economics a space to develop and discuss academic ideas away from the routines of everyday university life. Together with ambitious doctoral and postdoctoral researchers as well as experienced professors, participants develop and critically assess innovative research ideas, creating a valuable academic network for future scholarly collaborations.

This year’s retreat will take place at Klappholttal (Akademie am Meer, eng.: Academy by the sea) on the island of Sylt, near the town of List. The unique natural environment offers ideal conditions for focused thinking, creative ideas, and new research impulses.

You can look forward to a diverse programme featuring academic presentations, poster sessions, workshops, and coaching sessions, as well as numerous opportunities for informal exchange and networking.

The detailed programme will be published here in early 2026.
