Prof. Dr. Kamyar Sarshar, academic head of the Business Informatics Bachelor's programme, has been a Professor of Business Informatics at HSBA since January 2014. After studying IT at the University of Hamburg and completing an MBA at Cardiff University in the UK, he completed his doctoral studies at the Institute of Business Informatics in Saarbrücken.
Before joining HSBA, he worked as a management consultant at the management consultancy firm Logica (now CGI). During this time, he was in charge of numerous projects in the field of process management for customers from different industries.
Professor Sarshar’s research interests focus on topics in the areas of Business Process Management, E-Business and IT in Healthcare. He presents his research findings at national and international conferences and is the author and co-author of publications in journals such as "Wirtschaftsinformatik".
