Economic Sustainability and Resilience in Times of Geopolitical Crises

In times of global crises, geopolitical tensions and profound economic upheaval, the need for sustainable and responsible action is greater than ever. The HSBA Annual Conference 2025 addresses these challenges, showcasing how research can drive a sustainable, resilient and responsible economy.

The conference will present exceptional HSBA research findings and encourage discussion between academia, industry, government and civil society. Alongside exciting research presentations, participants can look forward to a high-profile keynote by Prof. Dr. Johann Fortwengel (Professor of International Management at King’s College London, Incoming General Editor of Journal of Management Studies) that will address the new challenges of international business in an era of geopolitical upheaval.

A particular highlight will be the poster session showcasing the finest master's theses, where young HSBA researchers will present their innovative, practical work. Through this, the university honours the exceptional accomplishments of young talent and demonstrates how students are actively contributing to overcoming current economic and social challenges.

There will also be ample opportunity for personal exchange and new collaborations between the sessions and at the après-conference reception.

We look forward to welcoming researchers, students, company representatives, and other interested parties to the Peter-Möhrle Lounge at HSBA on 20 November.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Ingeborg Gross Foundation for their generous support.
