What is the Junior Academy?

The Junior Academy at HSBA is a compact course for students aged 16–19. It provides fundamental business knowledge, insights into real companies, and helps you explore whether a dual study programme at HSBA might be right for you.

Who can take part?

Open to all students aged 16 to 19 who are curious about business, eager to learn, and want to experience the HSBA and its network of partner companies.

No prior knowledge required – just motivation!

When does the programme start and how long does it last?

The Junior Academy takes place twice a year – in spring and autumn. It runs over eight Saturdays within about four months, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

How much does the 'Junge Akademie' cost – and are scholarships available?

The course fee is €360.
Scholarships are available – simply include a short motivational letter (approx. 200 words) with your application.

Eight interactive modules on:

What is the schedule like?

Classes take place on selected Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HSBA Campus.

Where does the Junior Academy programme take place?

What’s the difference between the Junior Academy and the Junior Summer School?

Both formats are aimed at pupils preparing for dual study or their next career step. They differ in duration, format, and schedule.

  • Junior Summer School: 1 week / 40 hours, intensive, during the summer holidays
    ➡️ Ideal if you want to experience a lot in a short time and learn more about business studies.
     
  • Junior Academy: compact Saturday courses over several months
    ➡️ Perfect if you’d like to explore business over a longer period and dive deeper into management topics.
