Accommodation: In contrast to Hamburg, Budapest has more flat offers than people who need a flat. Therefore, I will find accommodation quite easy. The organization „Erasmus Life Budapest“ also offers to help you with finding a room and a shared apartment with other Erasmus students.
Transportation: The International Management faculty of the BBS is quite far away from the centre, hence, I needed one hour by metro and tram every day to get there. (Nonetheless, I quickly got used tot he driving time).
Food: The supermarket prices can be compared to our German price level. The prices in Bars and restaurants are a bit cheaper (often around 10 %) than in Hamburg.
Activities and more: The social life is pretty great in Budapest, with a tremendously high amount of offers. I would recommend you to participate in the Erasmus Life Budapest activities to meet a lot of students. In addition, they also plan regular trips to other cities/countries, in which everyone can participate
