Alina Steiger
Short Profile
Alina Steiger is a doctoral candidate at the Hamburg School of Business Administration, where she began her doctoral studies in 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Susanne Hensel-Börner. As an external doctoral candidate at the University of Twente, she is also supervised by Prof. Dr. Jörg Henseler and Dr. Salih Çevikarslan. Her research lies at the intersection of digital and sustainable transformation. In particular, she examines how these two transformation processes are interconnected and how they evolve across industries, countries, and organizations. Through her work, she aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how companies can advance digitalization and sustainability in an integrated manner.
After completing a dual degree in Business Informatics at Porsche AG, Alina Steiger decided to continue her studies in Hamburg at HSBA in the Master’s program in Digital Transformation & Sustainability. After holding positions in the automotive sector, the healthcare industry, and the events and media sectors, Ms. Steiger now works at Zeitverlag Gerd Bucerius GmbH & Co. KG. These diverse contexts have shaped her interest in how organizations respond to complex transformation processes under changing economic, social, and technological conditions.
