Corporate Social Responsibility in a Globalised World
The HSBA Summer School lasts two weeks. During this time you will take part in 60 hours of lectures including case studies and guest lectures. Our Summer School puts a high emphasis on application orientation and we therefore include visits to partner companies of HSBA as well which will give you the chance to build up a business network. Last but not least there will a social programme during some of the evenings helping you to explore as much of Hamburg as possible. All courses as well as the extracurricular activities take place in English.
The workload of the summer school in total is 125 hours, which is equivalent to 5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) or approx. 3 US credit points. After successfully preparing and completing a final presentation on a business case, you will receive an HSBA certificate, which will specify your workload and grading as well as your newly-gained qualifications. It will depend on your home university whether the credits and grades earned at HSBA will be acknowledged towards your final degree.
The Summer School is structured as follows:
Lectures & Scientific Talks
Expert Sessions & Business Cases
Social Life & Support
While of course we want you to learn as much as possible during your stay at HSBA, we believe that this does not only have to take place in a classroom. A fun and inspiring extracurricular programme is also an integral part of your summer school experience in order to extend your social network and to make new friends from all over the world!
