The Executive MBA is offered as full-time (1,5 years) and part-time (2 years) study programme. Whilst the full-time version offers the students a highly concentrated study programme based on the format of renown Executive MBAs on the international market, the part-time version allows them to combine their studies with a (full-time) occupation.

The programme focusses on Internationality, Business Ethics, and Governance. Core of the networks are the master's students themselves and more than 1.000 alumni of HSBA. Additionally, HSBA intensively cooperates with more than 250 companies and HSBA's Friends and Sponsors' association. Via Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the founder of HSBA, students have access to links to more than 170,000 Hamburg based companies.
Internationality is an essential component of a balanced course offering, particularly in Hamburg, a city that sees itself as the gateway to the world.The Executive MBA is entirely taught in English. This also allows internationals access to the study course.Currently 44 students study the Executive MBA, out of which 19 have an international background. They for example come from Brasil, Guatemala, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Nigeria, South Corea and the USA.A special highlight of the study course is the week abroad which is integrated into the study course and offers a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of intercultural aspects in a globalised world.
