HSBA Rowing

Rowing is traditionally a university sport and also indispensable from Hamburg, with the Alster and its beautiful upper course. And so in 2007 the HSBA Rowing Team launched.

The team trains year-round and in all weather in the rowing club "Allemannia von 1866". The club is located directly on the Aussenalster. In addition to technical training on the water, there they also train for strength in the gym and on the ergometer, which is specially tailored to the dual study course of the students. The team is coached by Sven Carstens, long-time success coach of HSBA and the rowing club "Allemannia von 1866". The Rowing team participates in a number of traditional Hamburg regattas, as well as an Ergonomics, the German University Championships or well-known long-distance races at the head of the Amstel in Amsterdam.
