Digitalisation triggers disruption in almost all companies. Established business models are coming under pressure, agile start-ups are developing new solutions. About a hundred years ago, economist Joseph A. Schumpeter described how creative destruction creates new progress. In times of disruption, we need more creative and courageous entrepreneurship.

In 2014 he was appointed Director and Member of the Management Board of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), where he has been Senior Economist in the field of "Health and Sports Economics" since 2006. His research topics are economic analysis, monetary policy, financial markets and digital economy.

There will be no après after the lounge, but we cordially invite you to the IMF's 2nd Summer Party. In the Peter-Möhrle-Coffee-Lounge we would like to spend a pleasant evening with you over some cold drinks and a barbecue.
