Dr. Michael Grelck

Career

Dr. Michael B. Grelck studied Business Administration from 1987 to 1992 at the University of Hamburg with a focus on banking and financial management and statistics/econometrics. He then worked as a research associate at the Institute for Money and Capital Transactions at the University of Hamburg, where he earned his doctorate in 1997 with a dissertation on the liquidity of German equities.

He then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Financial Services Consultant and Project Manager. His practice focused on providing advice to banks on the implementation of regulatory requirements (eg 6th KWG amendment). Since 2000 he has been managing partner of Dr. Ing. Grelck Consulting GmbH. Among other things, the company advises credit institutions on the implementation of Basel II / III requirements. In addition, Dr. Grelck worked as a consultant for many years for a South African major bank in the training sector in southern Africa.
