Dr. Anna-Maria Schneider is desk officer at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in the division Sustainability Standards. Before she had worked as postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Management of the Humboldt University Berlin.
She specialised on the realisation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in global supply chains, especially in supplier firms in emerging markets. This field of research contains in particular the implementation of CSR measures along the supply chain of multinational enterprises (MNEs) and the underlying governance and enforcement mechanisms.
Research results of Anna-Maria Schneider are documented by accepted papers in journals such as “Corporate Governance: An International Review”, “International Journal of Emerging Markets”, and “Zeitschrift für Betriebswirtschaft”. Anna-Maria Schneider was also in involved in several projects on CSR issues with companies such as Deutsche Telekom and with organisations such as Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, econsense and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. Furthermore, she has diverse practice in teaching in the fields of International Management, Sustainable Supply Chain Management and Business & Society.
