Jorge Davila-Chacon


Jorge has vast experience in data science projects involving text, audio and visual data. He has designed Reinforcement Learning models for FinTech and E-commerce that learn by direct customer interaction, and currently implements Al solutions for the industry as co-founder and CTO of Heldenkombinat Technologies GmbH.

Jorge has been selected for robotics and neuroscience programs with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University, the Stem Cell and Brain Research Institute
(CNRS, France), the Speech, Music and Hearing Institute (KTH, Sweden) and the University of Hyderabad. He is an invited reviewer for the Journal of Computer Speech and Language and was one of the organizing committee chairs for ICANN-2014, the European flagship conference for artificial neural networks.

Jorge received a BEng double degree in Mechanics and Electricity from the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (Mexico), a MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) and is currently concluding a PhD degree in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Hamburg.
