Dr. Christina Benita Wilke has been working as a Senior Economist at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) since August 2011. Previously, she worked as managing director and researcher at the Mannheim Research Institute for Economics and Demographic Change (MEA) under the direction of Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan. She studied business administration and economics at the Universities of Passau, Lund (Sweden), Mannheim and Hagen. After graduation, she began her research career at the MEA as a research associate in the field of social policy. In 2004, she spent four months as a visiting scholar at the Universita 'Ca' Foscari Di Venezia in Italy. In 2008, she successfully completed her doctorate with a thesis on German pension policy.
