As a business school for Hamburg's economy, HSBA makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the future viability of its cooperation companies and Hamburg as a business location. The prospective specialists and managers are trained to think strategically and sustainably in order to be able to operate in a future-oriented manner. To this end, we teach the essential skills such as the use of new digital technologies and the relevant mindset and accompany companies on their way to digital transformation.
Students of the HSBA have the opportunity to prepare for the challenges of digitisation during their studies by choosing one of the profiles from the "Digital Toolbox" and to acquire the necessary knowledge. The digital profiles are mandatory in all Bachelor's and Master's programmes.
HSBA offers specialists and managers professional further training to become Certified Digital Officers. The combination of all six profiles covers the typical areas of work that are particularly affected by the change due to digitisation in companies in all sectors.
Since October 2018, HSBA has been offering the Digital Transformation & Sustainability programme for the first time in an economics course combining the two future topics of digitisation and sustainability. The Master's programme is aimed at all companies in the business sector and imparts relevant skills and knowledge and optimally prepares students for the challenges of the future.
Since March 2019, HSBA has been supporting companies in the development, implementation and monetisation of tomorrow's (digital) innovation through the SQUARE HSBA Innovation Hub. SQUARE is an independent sister of HSBA. Both are based on a DNA that redefines the interaction between research and science: scientifically sound and application-oriented.
