After the temporary closure of the campus and the temporary pause of on-site classes as of March 14, the university is now open again for public business at its new premises at Willy-Brandt-Straße 75. The service office is manned daily and all employees can be contacted easily in person, by phone or e-mail.
After the first courses were held on site in June after the lockdown, the university has been offering each study group selected dates since the end of July to enable direct, personal exchange with teaching staff and fellow students. However, for the most part, teaching will continue to take place online via Microsoft teams in order to ensure the safety and health of students, lecturers and staff.
All students, lecturers and partner companies are informed in good time about any new developments and corresponding measures in relation to the Corona situation via the internal MS teams channels as well as via e-mail. Students are encouraged to use the HSBA mobile app (keyword search "HSBA mobile") to view their timetables at any time.
Digital Teaching
Already since mid-March, after the first days of lockdown, HSBA was able to offer most of its teaching formats online via Microsoft Teams. Since the end of July, which marked the start of the current theoretical phase of the undergraduate students at HSBA, selected dates have been offered on site, but the majority of teaching will still be offered virtually.
In order to guarantee a high quality of all digital teaching formats, we evaluate all formats and adapt them accordingly. First results of a survey among students show that 87% are satisfied. A team of professors evaluates the findings and shares derived measures & tutorials with the entire faculty. Thus, didactics and teaching are optimised on a regular basis.
Events: Info Sessions, Mock Lectures, Individual Advice
Most of the larger events, such as mock lectures or info sessions, but also one-to-one advicse sessions, will continue to take place online, though a mixture of personal and online formats are planned for the near future. However, in special cases and if the Corona requirements allow it, we do offer events on site. These include for example the Business-Speed Dating in October or the graduation ceremony.
Please find all current events and more information here.
On-Site Hygiene
Appropriate hygiene rules apply on campus, and these can viewed on notice boards and posters in the entrance area and in the corridors. Throughout the building, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres must be observed and a face mask must be worn if the distance cannot be maintained. Seating arrangements in the classrooms (e.g. for examinations) are such that distance is kept, this means that allthe seats are positioned at a distance of 1.5 metres from each other.
