Seminar Profile

In-depth knowledge of the theory and methods of microeconomics and macroeconomics are the basis for strategic management decisions in global companies.

This seminar starts with an introduction and goes on to explain the basic functioning of markets and derive optimum decisions for budgets and companies. The seminar also looks at market imperfections and market failures as well as market interventions driven by economic policy. Participants learn methodologies such as microeconomic and game theory concepts.

In the field of macroeconomics, participants are given an overview of the effect of fiscal and monetary policy in open national economies and in a currency union. They are taught the basics of economic, growth and commercial theory and are introduced to the reasons for financial and currency crises.

The aim is to give participants a fundamental understanding of globalisation and its effects on market and companies.
