Operations Management

Seminar Profile

Production, Service, Supply Chain and Logistics: This seminar is a ‘how-to’ course that starts from scratch.

Operations management refers to the effective and efficient management of the core business of a company. The fact that this task is continuously gaining in significance in corporate management is evident not least from the introduction of the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in many businesses.

In the course of this seminar, participants are given an introduction to operations management and then examine the core business and its processes as well as the corporate strategy behind it. The focus is on designing the supply chain. Planning and managing capacities and resources plays a special role. The seminar covers the automation of processes as well as the fundamentals of lean management. After completing the seminar, participants are able to recognise optimisation potential in structures and processes and can realign these from a performance perspective.
