Corporate Procurement

Seminare Profile

The profit is in procurement – Correctly aligning the procurement function and realising cost potential.

The seminar starts with a theoretical introduction to procurement as a corporate function and a detailed explanation of strategic purchasing. The seminar takes a theoretical look at the significance of the organisation and of human resources for the purchasing department in this respect. Based on this, participants familiarise themselves with different procurement processes and material portfolio management.

Further focus areas include the special aspects and possibilities of cross-border or international procurement as well as supplier selection and supplier management. This is where e-procurement comes into play, with a more in-depth look at the application systems. Nowadays it is important to include a look at the legal framework conditions, at compliance management and at purchasing controlling and risk management. The seminar concludes with a critical analysis of the significance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the procurement function.

The focus of this seminar is on applying the theoretical components covered using different examples as well as individual and group exercises.
