Prof. Dr. Michael Höbig

Professor of Logistics Management / Airbus Endowed Chair of Logistics Management

Short Profile

Michael Höbig has been a professor of business administration with a focus on supply chain management at HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration since the end of 2011 and, since 2022, has been head of the innovative MSc Digital Transformation & Sustainability master's programme. For the academic year 2024/25, he has taken over the endowed professorship for Logistics Management from the Airbus endowed professorship for Logistics Management. 

Professor Höbig was the Managing Partner of the Pleyma GmbH in Hamburg. In the meantime, he has also worked as Head of Strategy SCM at Siemens Wind Power in Denmark to further develop the international supply chain. Next to teaching at HSBA, he also for many years worked as Manager at Ramboll Management Consulting in the area of Supply Chain Management and Procurement.
