With Commitment and Enthusiasm: Student Committees at HSBA

Last week, HSBA students presented their heartfelt projects to the new cohort and recruited new members.

Our students are very committed and get involved, we call this the HSBA Spirit. In addition to their studies and work at our parnter companies, many of our students still find the time to get involved in one of our numerous committees and contribute their own ideas for shaping campus life and studies. To recruit new members and introduce the committee work, the student representatives organise a committee presentation every year, which last year could unfortunately only take place online due to the pandemic. For two days, all new Bachelor students of the 21st year just had the opportunity to meet at the HSBA campus in Willy-Brandt-Straße and get to know the committee officers and members, ask questions and get to know the various offers.

The organisers of the event, Bachelor student spokesperson Julian Thormälen and Jakob Deichmann from the student council, are pleased with the successful event, which was able to take place under 3G conditions and strict regulations:

"This was a great kick-off, because we believe it is especially important for first-year students to be able to get information in person," the two explain. "The committees are an important tool for us as a student community to be able to bring our ideas and interests to the university and into campus life. The work in the committees is also really fun and you get to know a lot of new people, also from other years, who have similar interests."

If you didn't make it to the committee presentation and would like to participate, just contact the committee representatives directly. A detailed overview of all student committees can be found on the HSBA website: Overview of student committees (hsba.de)
