Over the weekend, graduates of the former Hamburg Business Academy (WAH), HSBA's predecessor institution, gathered at the Peter Möhrle Lounge to celebrate their graduation 30 years ago. Around half of the 1993 graduates met in the Peter Möhrle Lounge and exchanged memories from back then over champagne and Franzbrötchen. The graduation newspaper "Schlussklappe", in which one could read all the names and focal points, also helped. In a short contribution, Klaus Waubke presented the development of the HSBA from 2004 until today to show what the "little WAH has become".
On behalf of the HSBA and all WAH alumni, many thanks go to the organiser Claus Cordes as well as to the HSBA Alumni Association for their kind support. All WAH alumni are cordially invited to become part of the Alumni Association.
The Hamburg Business Academy was founded in 1975 with the aim of training participants to become internationally deployable managers. To this end, academic teaching was combined with practical training in the company in a three-year programme. The idea goes back to the so-called "Hamburg Model", which Hamburg companies had developed together with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce shortly before.
