We are delighted to present our latest HSBA Evaluation and Progress Report, which has been published for the seventh time in a row now. The annual report is a summary of the quality improvements in study and teaching and provides an overview of the various measures taken in the past academic year to drive HSBA forward.
Teaching under Corona conditions
This year was also strongly characterised by the Corona pandemic and the change between face-to-face and online or hybrid teaching. Our students and lecturers were again challenged to the highest degree to adapt flexibly to the different teaching and learning arrangements. The results of our survey on digital teaching during the pandemic show how well students not only adapted to the changed circumstances, but also actively used them for themselves and their teaching and learning success.
According to the survey, students were again very satisfied overall with digital or hybrid teaching in the summer semester of 2021 and satisfaction even slightly exceeded the good values for face-to-face teaching in 2019. As satisfaction with online teaching had been significantly lower in the first "Corona semester" in 2020, this is proof that the improvements in the area of didactics and equipment were able to achieve the desired success.
Also, students rated their own participation in the courses and that of their fellow students almost as good as in face-to-face teaching in 2019.
