During the meeting of the HSBA Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors (BOG), Alexander Birken, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Otto Group, and Preeti Bendele, Dean of Hapag-Lloyd Academy – both highly esteemed members of the Board of Trustees and the BOG – were honourably discharged from their positions. At the same time, four new members were appointed to the Board of Trustees and the vacant positions on the BOG were filled.
New Members Appointed to the HSBA Board of Trustees and Board of Governors

With their expertise and dedication, they have played a key role in shaping the strategic development of the university,’ said Prof. Dr Tim Goydke, President of HSBA.
At the same time, four new members were welcomed to the Board of Trustees:
- Sabine Josch, Human Resources Director at Otto GmbH & Co KG
- Kristina Duwe, Senior Director HR Germany and Central Europe, Global HR Innovation & Transformation, Hapag-Lloyd AG
- Prof. Dr. Michael Grünberger, President of Bucerius Law School
- Prof. Dr. Stephanie Schrage, Professor of International Management / International Business with a focus on China, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel
Sabine Josch and Kristina Duwe have also been appointed to the Board of Governors, the supervisory board of the HSBA, by the Board of Trustees. In this role, they will advise and support the university on economic issues in the future.
