On 1 January 2026, the Scientific Advisory Board of HSBA began its work with a new line-up. The Scientific Advisory Board is an independent panel of experts that advises the university on the strategic development and direction of its research activities. The new members were appointed by the university management for a term of three years.
New Appointments to the Scientific Advisory Board

The Advisory Board's tasks include supporting the university in quality assurance and the further development of research. This includes advising on the definition of long-term research goals and promoting cooperation with research institutions.
The Scientific Advisory Board is chaired by Prof. Dr. Sarah Jastram, Vice-President for Research. The board is composed of representatives from science and industry who support the university with their recognised expertise and many years of experience.
