Ingeborg Gross Graduate Centre Opens at HSBA

Thanks to generous funding from the Hamburg Ingeborg Gross Foundation, the Graduate Centre of the same name will open at HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration on 1 October 2024. The new Ingeborg Gross Graduate Center will bring together all activities relating to HSBA's part-time, cooperative doctoral programme. Thanks to the approved funding, research trips and conference participation by doctoral students in particular can now be supported even more intensively, with the aim of ensuring continuous research output at the highest academic level.

“We are very grateful and pleased that we were able to inspire the Ingeborg Gross Foundation for our doctoral programme and the support of our doctoral students,” says Professor Dr Tim Goydke, President of the Hamburg School of Business Administration.“Thanks to this substantial grant, we can significantly strengthen and further expand the programme and thus increase the visibility of our research projects.”

The Ingeborg Gross Graduate Center offers existing doctoral candidates and those who would like to become one, advice and support with the application, organisation and structure of the programme, a high-quality seminar programme with renowned lecturers and funding for participation in major international conferences.

Thanks to HSBA's application-oriented focus, doctoral projects are predominantly realised from the business world, which are oriented towards current issues and contribute to overcoming economic challenges. HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration has been offering the part-time cooperative doctoral programme in collaboration with European partner universities since 2013. The programme focuses on the topics of family business, digitalisation, corporate social responsibility, entrepreneurship, sustainability, finance and maritime & logistics.

The official opening of the Ingeborg Gross Graduate Centre will take place as part of the Annual Conference on 22 November 2024.
