As the business school for Hamburg's economy, HSBA makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the future viability of our cooperation companies and Hamburg as a business location – even in times of crisis. The current exceptional situation, triggered by the dynamic spread of the Coronavirus, requires rapid adaptation and orientation to existing challenges. Thanks to the agile way of working at HSBA, it was possible to switch all work processes to remote in very short time: Courses, classroom operations as well as information events and consulting sessions are already mapped online and virtually for the most part. In doing so, HSBA continues to focus on personal exchange and individual consulting at both employee and customer level.

Online Consulting and Information
All our established formats such as info sessions, trial lectures, applicant coaching and personal consultations are now available online in the form of webinars and video calls. So there is the right format for everyone to ask individual questions or exchange ideas with like-minded people.

Online Application
We have simplified the application process for all future students. Prospective students can now apply for jobs through a completely virtual application process. For example, Bachelor students can view all available study options with our partner companies on our platform and can apply directly.
Available Study Options (Bachelor)
Since January, we have been offering those interested in a part-time master's degree programme the opportunity to apply online. After reviewing the application documents, the applicant's personal and academic suitability is thoroughly checked via a virtual suitability process (see Admission Day).
Virtual Teaching and Study – Master & Bachelor
Since the close down of the university, all courses in the Master’s programme have been successfully conducted online. With the start of the new Bachelor's study phase on 14 April, all Bachelor's lectures will also be held online as planned until the quarantine measures are lifted. Students will be informed directly by the university management about details regarding dates and technical requirements.
Registration for the topics of the final theses (of this year's final year class) and the submission of papers will also be simplified and carried out online. The examination board will inform the students concerned accordingly.
In order to make literature research much easier and to ensure direct access to sources, our students have been given extensive online access to a library of economics and business studies, which allows them to work on their theses from home.
Executive Education
We have also extended and adapted our Executive Education portfolio in order to meet current requirements: We will provide online webinars on various management topics such as virtual workshops in cooperation with our SQUARE partner NXI.
