Successful Re-accreditation of Bachelor's Degree Programmes till the End of 2030

Accreditation Committee decides on re-accreditation of the study programmes Business Informatics, International Management & Logistics Management for another 8 years

In accordance with the recommendation of the experts the HSBA Accreditation Committee has decided to re-accredit the three dual study programmes, BSc Business Informatics, BSc International Management and BSc Logistics Management for another 8 years until 30.9.2030. Within the framework of the internal accreditation procedure, the degree programmes were comprehensively reviewed. In the evaluation, individual areas such as the didactic concept, the classrooms with room and material equipment or quality assurance and development with regard to content, processes and results were rated particularly positively.

"We are very pleased that, from the experts' point of view, the quality requirements were not only "met" but even "exceeded" in individual areas. In addition, we have received further valuable recommendations that will help us in the further development of the degree programmes," says Prof. Dr. Alkis Otto, Vice President for Teaching and Didactics and Professor of General Economics.

The study programmes were assessed in their revised, modernised form with a start date as of  winter semester 2022, which includes, among other things, a specialisation (minor) in the 3rd year of study.

Systemakkreditierung

In July 2018, HSBA was successfully system-accredited by the Foundation of International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). The successful system accreditation enables HSBA to align its quality processes more independently and precisely to the strategically developed (quality) goals and their specific framework conditions. The right to self-accreditation that is acquired with it also leads to greater flexibility and self-responsibility: HSBA can independently design and implement developments in existing study programmes and the development of new study programmes, while at the same time it must ensure the systematic observance and binding implementation of national requirements. This is done through internal accreditation procedures, which replace the programme accreditations previously carried out by FIBAA. In addition to students, HSBA professors and external professors, company representatives are also involved as experts in these internal procedures. A specially introduced accreditation committee awards the seal of approval of the Accreditation Council if the decision is positive.
