Daniel Geister Becomes new Professor of Applied Methods in Finance, Accounting and Auditing

"For me, it is a meaningful task to impart knowledge to young people and support them in their career development," says Professor Geister about his new position. "In my courses, I want to combine business theory with modern financial instruments and the corporate practice of global corporations. I'm really looking forward to the exchange with the students!"
Daniel Geister began his academic education at the University of Rostock with a degree in business administration and completed his doctorate on the topic of capital market-oriented resource allocation and cooperation in companies. Since 2019, Daniel Geister has been a lecturer and visiting professor for financial management and controlling at the Euro-Business-College and the Brandenburg University of Technology.
Professor Geister has over 15 years of practical professional experience in various management positions in global industrial companies. His expertise and skills include finance and controlling, particularly in the chemical industry, renewable energy and surface technologies sectors. His research activities focus on the integration of the selected disciplines of capital markets, corporate policy and capital rationing. The focus is on analyzing the relationship between corporate strategy and capital allocation and the implications for firm value in the context of international corporate activities.
