Last week, a delegation from HSBA, consisting of our President Prof. Dr. Tim Goydke, our Chancellor Alexander Freier and Klaus Waubke, who is responsible for bachelor's recruitment, visited the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul. The aim of the visit was to further expand HSBA's international network, strengthen existing relationships and introduce young people and their families to the advantages and opportunities of a dual study programme in Hamburg at one of Germany's most renowned dual universities. The trip to Istanbul is part of the university's internationalisation strategy, which aims to counteract demographic change by successfully integrating young international talent.

Programme and meetings
The agenda included visits to leading educational institutions such as the German-language school Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, the German School Istanbul and the Austrian St. Georgs-Kolleg, the Turkish-German University, Istanbul Kültür University, and an exchange with the German Consulate General and the DAAD in Istanbul.
Prof. Dr. Tim Goydke expressed his enthusiasm: ‘We are very grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality we received everywhere. We gained valuable insights into the Turkish education system and are impressed by the high level of commitment and motivation of the students, who are a perfect fit for the requirements of our partner companies.’
Advantages of the dual study programme for students from abroad
The HSBA's dual study model is particularly attractive for international students with German university entrance qualifications. Together with its 300 partner companies, the HSBA offers excellent career opportunities and can also ensure rapid cultural integration through intensive support at the workplace and place of study. German-speaking applicants from abroad can also apply online for a place at many of our partner companies, such as AC CHRISTES & PARTNER GmbH, British American Tobacco (Germany) GmbH, Commerzbank AG, Deloitte GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, EY GmbH & Co. KG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Hapag-Lloyd AG, HELM AG, Junge & Co. Versicherungsmakler GmbH and Olympus Europa SE & CO. KG. As a university of business, HSBA enjoys an above-average reputation because it ideally combines demanding academic teaching with practice-oriented training in companies.
