The dual programme Media Management offers practically oriented Business Administration studies with special orientation towards the media industry, combined with simultaneous in-company training. It provides not only the fundamentals of business administration, but also selected contents from the specific viewpoint of the media industry, focusing where appropriate on the individual media and specific corporate strategies in the various media sectors. The cooperation partners are mostly media companies and advertising agencies.
The programme is held about 75% in German and about 25% in English.
The programme starts on 1 October each year; in 2015 it starts with a theoretical phase.
Study organisation and duration
The dual programme integrates phases of theory at the university (on average 32 weeks a year) and practical phases of training in their training company (on average 20 weeks a year). Total duration of studies is three years.
The tuition fees are EUR 610 per month. The companies generally pay most of the course fees, at least if the student remains with the company after finishing his/her degree. In addition, students generally receive traineeship remuneration, the amount of which depends on the industry and company in question.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 180 ECTS
The programme is accredited by the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
