Students acquire practical business administration knowledge and have an opportunity to specialise in certain functions or sectors. Special attention is given to method skills throughout the programme. Business administration fundamentals are communicated in the first two years of study, and complemented by method modules and courses on language and law. In the second and third years of study, selected subjects are treated in depth (Marketing, Finance, Strategic Management, Controlling). The main content in the final year is a range of options (specialisation, electives), providing wider and deeper know-how and method skills.
The electives enable students to deepen and widen their knowledge in specific areas. In the second year of the programme, Law is an elective, with a choice between labour law and sector-specific auditing law. An international study trip (or option in Hambu
The general electives give students the opportunity to develop their individual knowledge and skills further. The offering ranges from social skills and IT seminars to studium generale events and smaller electives where students can tackle selected business administration content in a more in-depth manner. Foreign language courses are also on offer on an extracurricular basis.
Specialisations give students an opportunity for in-depth study of areas which are of special importance for themselves or for the company they are attached to. The specialisations available depend on demand and on the selected track. Extended specialisations include specific electives alongside the range of prescribed subjects.
