CHE ranking: HSBA master‘s programme in the top group
The non-profit Centre for Higher Education (CHE) was founded by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the German Rector’s Conference in 1994. It is its goal to promote the competition in the German education sector. The university ranking published by the CHE is the most comprehensive and detailed in the German-speaking region. In 2014/15 for the first time a ranking of the consecutive master's programmes in the field of business administration was developed.
HSBA is happy to announce that in this ranking the master’s study course Global Management and Governance has achieved excellent results. In all five criteria (overall study situation, courses, feasibility of study course, support of teaching staff and international orientation) HSBA is represented in the top group. Of all 44 participating universities of applied sciences only four others also achieved such good results.
“The high satisfaction of our students with our master’s programme, which started in 2009, shows that we are on the right track”, comments HSBA president Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Schmidt-Trenz on the results. From a pure dual university of applied science for young people just starting their careers, the business school has furthermore established its position as the partner for continual staff development of Hamburg’s economy with its part-time master’s programmes, the cooperative doctoral programme and its offerings in executive education.

The very good results in the CHE ranking make us at HSBA proud. We are especially happy that the master’s students gave such positive feedback and obviously are very satisfied with their study course. HSBA will continue its hard work with passion and ambition to keep up the high level in the future.
