MBA Shipping Scholarship
The MBA Shipping degree gives students an MBA qualification within a 24-month period. The fast-track version of the degree can be completed in twelve months. The part-time degree gives employees in the maritime industry the opportunity to acquire further industry-specific qualifications at an academic level and to prepare for future management tasks. At the same time they continue to be integrated in their companies and can further their career and development simultaneously.
The acceptance criteria include a third-level degree completed with a good grade, excellent knowledge of English, an employer’s letter of recommendation, at least two years’ professional experience since graduating and successful completion of the HSBA selection process. Candidates that do not hold an undergraduate degree (e.g. shipping clerks) can be accepted onto the MBA Shipping programme after completion of a separate entrance exam if they have six years’ professional experience.
Information events for the MBA Shipping degree programme will take place during the course of 2014. Please check our website regularly to find out when the next information event is planned.

A further scholarship is available from HSBA for particularly dedicated employees in the maritime industry that covers 50% of the course fees. The closing date for applications is 31 August 2014.
We look forward to hearing from you!
